🤨 How many Levels are there?

Like many other professional courses, ACCA also has three levels - Applied Knowledge Level, Applied Skill Level, and Strategic Professional Level.

⏰ When do ACCA exams happen?

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams happen four times a year. The sessions are divided throughout the year with a gap of three months. The ACCA exams happen in March, June, September, and December.

Students can appear for maximum of four papers in a session and can give a total of eight papers in a year.

🤔Do CA Students get Exemptions?

Yes, and a BIG yes! CA Inter students can avail exemptions in ACCA exams. Let me make it easier and explain it through different case scenarios.

1️⃣ You are a graduate and have not cleared any group of CA Inter; neither you scored 40 or above in Tax or in Audit

In this case, you will get exemptions in 4 subjects of ACCA -

3 subjects of Applied Knowledge level

Business & Technology (BT)
Management Accounting (MA)
Financial Accounting (FA)

1 subject of Applied Skill Level

Corporate and Business Law (LW)

2️⃣ You are a graduate and have not cleared any group of CA Inter, but you have scored 40 or above in the Tax exam in one of your attempts of CA Inter Group 1

In this case, you will get 5 exemptions

3 subjects of Applied Knowledge level

Business & Technology (BT)
Management Accounting (MA)
Financial Accounting (FA)

2 subject of Applied Skill Level

Corporate and Business Law (LW)
Taxation (TX)

3️⃣ You are a graduate and have not cleared any group of CA Inter, but you have scored 40 or above in Tax exam in one of your attempts of CA Inter Group 1, and you have scored 40 or above in the Audit exam in one of your attempt of CA Inter Group 2

In this case, you will get 6 exemptions

3 subjects of Applied Knowledge level

Business & Technology (BT)
Management Accounting (MA)
Financial Accounting (FA)

3 subject of Applied Skill Level

Corporate and Business Law (LW)

🤷🏻‍♀️ Is ACCA easier than CA?

Don’t even think of it. ACCA exams are purely based on concepts, but that doesn’t mean they are easy. The exam structure gives you flexibility, sure, but it is not easy at all. Specifically, the Audit and Assurance exam at the Skill Level is one of the toughest exams to crack.

🤑 💷 What are the fees for ACCA for CA Inter Students?

When you register for ACCA Course, you have to pay a registration fee called the Initial Registration to ACCA™, which is around ₹3,000.

The examination fees for each subject will range from ₹12,000 to ₹19,000.

Now, as per the number of exemptions you are getting, you have to give 7 to 9 exams only. It means your total fees will look something like this -

Students giving 7 exams - ₹1,16,000 approx.

And that too is not required to be paid at once. You can pay the fees on a per subject basis, that is you can pay for each subject, as and when you are willing to give the exam.

Students giving 9 exams - ₹1,40,000 approx.

Again not required to be paid at once. You can pay the fees as and when you are willing to give the exam for a particular subject.
