No, there is no CAP, there might be a time gap between two attempts.
When will the new syllabus come into force?

Is there a change in the direct entry route?
No change as far as eligibility is concerned.
Practical training can be joined only after clearing both groups of CA Intermediate.
What about students who have cleared both groups of CA Inter as per the old syllabus?
The future of students in the above category will be decided in the coming days.
How introduction of self-paced modules will change the education regime?
ICAI doesn’t want to burden all the students with different economic laws. Subjects which are removed are actually moved to the self-paced modules.
Once you qualify you can choose to pursue further the subject of your choice. It is also to reduce the burden of exams without diluting the course curriculum.
Marks of the self-paced modules will not be added to your examination.

Yes, more and more modules and subjects will be included and choices will be given to students. (Answer was not very clear - This is what I understood)
