Did you clear your boards with flying coloursâ¨, and cleared CA Foundation too, but for some reason, are stuck in CA Intermediate đ˘?
Are you tired of seeing that âFAILâ on your result again and again and are just not able to bring yourself to open the same books again đ?
Then you, my friend, need a different direction.
If you have to reach somewhere and one path is jam-packed, donât you take another route?
Let me be your Google mapđ and guide you in a different direction - a different path to success - ACCA.
âWhat is ACCA?
ACCA stands for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
đ Formed in 1904, it is the global professional accounting body, which offers the âChartered Certified Accountantâ qualification.
ACCA is a fast-growing international accountancy organization with over 6,00,000 members and over 500,000 students in 180 countries đ.
If you aspire to build your career in Auditing, Financial Reporting, International Taxation, Finance, etc through CA, then ACCA will be a smooth switch for you.
đđť Why ACCA?
I mean, a while back you were preparing to become a CA, then why should you do ACCA now? Itâs a legit question. Let me give you certain comparison-based answers.
1ď¸âŁ ACCA focuses on understanding rather than rattafication
The reason ACCA could be a better choice is that it is a concept-based course. It is a course that focuses on your understanding rather than your rattafication abilities.
2ď¸âŁ You donât have to finish the entire course to get a decent-paying job
In CA, you get a decent-paying job after you have finished the course but thatâs not the case with ACCA. In ACCA, you donât have to wait until you have cleared all your exams to begin your professional career. You can start your professional career and still give exams.
3ď¸âŁ You donât fail the entire group just because you couldnât clear one subject
Sometimes all your exams go really well except one, and because of that one subject, you have to give the entire group again. But not with ACCA. ACCA gives you complete flexibility. There is no grouping system at all. You can give one paper at a time along with your full-time job, saving you a lot of time.
4ď¸âŁ ACCA uses a more futuristic exam method
Got bad handwriting? Forgot to bring a calculator during a numerical exam? Not an issue. ACCA doesnât use redundant exam methods, in fact, all your exams are online and computer-based. You can type your answers, solve problems in excel and use the online calculator. As simple as that!
5ď¸âŁ ACCA is not limited to one country
You will be surprised to know that ACCA has global recognition in more than 180 countries. So, you are not restricted to one country. In short, you have plenty of job opportunities across the world, including in India.
6ď¸âŁ ACCA is time-saving
Even if you start your ACCA after giving multiple attempts of CA Intermediate, then also, it can be completed in a year. In ACCA, you can appear for a maximum of 8 papers in one year.
𤨠How many Levels are there?
Like many other professional courses, ACCA also has three levels - Applied Knowledge Level, Applied Skill Level, and Strategic Professional Level.
There are a total of 15 subjects out of which you have to give 13 exams.
đ Subjects in ACCA đ
1ď¸âŁ Applied Knowledge Level

đ¤ˇđťââď¸ Is ACCA easier than CA?
Donât even think of it. ACCA exams are purely based on concepts, but that doesnât mean they are easy. The exam structure gives you flexibility, sure, but it is not easy at all. Specifically, the Audit and Assurance exam at the Skill Level is one of the toughest exams to crack.
đ¤ đˇ What are the fees for ACCA for CA Inter Students?
When you register for ACCA Course, you have to pay a registration fee called the Initial Registration to ACCAâ˘, which is around âš3,000.
But thereâs good news, you can get a free registration when you register through LEARN91.
So, donât worry, we have got your back!
đ¸ But what about the exam fees?
The exam fees for ACCA is a bit on the higher side, Iâm not gonna lie. But it is an investment into your future and you can easily cover it. Let me tell you how.
You are in CA Inter, right? You can join a job right now at a very limited salary of âš15,000 to âš25,000 per month, which you will easily get. Now, you have a job, and you can also start preparing for ACCA - 1 subject at a time.
The examination fees for each subject will range from âš12,000 to âš19,000.
Now, as per the number of exemptions you are getting, you have to give 7 to 9 exams only. It means your total fees will look something like this -
Students giving 7 exams - âš1,16,000 approx.Â
And that too is not required to be paid at once. You can pay the fees on a per subject basis, that is you can pay for each subject, as and when you are willing to give the exam.
Students giving 9 exams - âš1,40,000 approx.Â
Again not required to be paid at once. You can pay the fees as and when you are willing to give the exam for a particular subject.
đ But what about the uber-expensive ACCA coaching classes?
Yes, ACCA coaching is uber-expensive. But not LEARN91. Some ACCA Coaching institutes charge âš20,000 to âš30,000 per subject which can be really expensive for a normal student.
But worry not, LEARN91 is a GOLD Approved Learning Partner of ACCA, and we have made ACCA Classes amazingly affordable.
LEARN91 is a Gold Approved Learning Partner of ACCAâ˘
We have classes for all the levels of ACCA
Knowledge level - All Subjects
Skill Level - All Subjects
Professional Level - Right now you start with 2 subjects with us.
đ˛What about the exemption fee per subject?
If you are opting for an exemption, you have to pay an exemption fee per subject, and that may range from âš12,000 to âš19,000 if you go directly.
But donât get overwhelmed, LEARN91 has again got your back. If you go through LEARN91 - Gold Approved Learning Partner of ACCAâ˘, you will have to pay only âš1,000 to âš 2,000 per subject depending on your previous qualification.
đ¨âđť What is the scope of ACCA or job prospects of ACCA in India? đ´đť
So, we actually covered almost everything about ACCA but what about its scope? Isnât it the most important thing? Does it even make sense to switch to ACCA from CA if you donât plan to go abroad?Â
Definitely, yes! You might be surprised to know that whatever jobs are available for a member of ICAI in India are available for ACCA Members too. The only limitation is that ACCA members cannot sign on the Audit reports or other reports and certification requirements by the law.
So, itâs only a valid limitation if you want to establish your CA practice in India. And if you plan to go for a job and not a practice, then you are as good as a member of ICAI.
